About Micropenis Treatment.
A micropenis is exactly what the name suggests it is; a very small penis. But to officially qualify as a micropenis it must fit the exact medical criteria.
Medically speaking, a micropenis has a flaccid length of less than one inch for a newborn male child and no more than two inches for an adult.
However, it has been said that this definition varies and alternate classifications are sometimes used by different doctors. Micropenis syndrome is incredibly rare and only occurs in less than one percent of men.
Micropenises : what are the causes
Micropenises are commonly caused by the under production of prenatal androgen.
If a male fetus doesn't receive enough androgen from its mother during the second and third trimesters the penis is prevented from growing to normal size.
Another possible explanation is that the fetus' ability to produce hormones such as testosterone and dihydrotestosterone is limited during the development stage.
However dysfunction of the pituitary gland and a lack of congenital growth hormone have also been suggested as possible causes. Basically, nobody knows for sure.
The Problems Caused by Micropenises
Image and confidence can be severely affected by a micropenis. In a world where bigger is almost always considered better and the penis is a symbol of male power, those with micropenises are left feeling inadequate.
Micropenises can have physical problems too. For example, intercourse can be very difficult (although a man with a micropenis syndrome can still procreate) and in some cases even urinating from a standing position may be tricky.
Micropenis Treatments
So, is there such a thing as an effective micropenis treatment? Fortunately, yes there is. The most effective micropenis treatment is applied during infancy.
This involves supplementing the body’s own production of hormones. Surgery is also an option, but this is rarely performed as the results are often considered to be unsubstantial.
A much more effective micropenis treatment involves using a type of penis enlargement device commonly known as a penis stretcher. Traction devices encourage the penis to grow naturally and provide all the positive results of penis enlargement surgery but with none of the risks.
Just a warning for those of you suffering from micropenis syndrome – micropenis treatment should not be attempted without medical advice. Before you start a treatment, seek help from an urologist. If you are unsure whether or not you really suffer from a micropenis syndrome your family doctor will be able to help. He or she will also be able to refer you to a specialist to discuss micropenis treatment options.
If, however, you don’t have a micropenis but would simply like to increase your penis size, we recommend you use both a traction device and penis enlargement exercises. These are definitely the safest and most effective penis enlargement methods available today and when used in combination they produce incredible results.
